Well over the weekend i was trying to think how i could film my idea and found that unless i was willing to get 2 or 3 people involved in camerawork my idea just didn't work.
Knowing this i then sat down and had a think on saturday on how best i could deal with the problems i was about to face.
The best thing i could think of was a rewrite of the opening and maybe a change in genre, i decided to take a break and left my room as i left, my deck of yugioh cards fell off my shelf so i went and picked them up and then insparation hit me, so i figured why not make my film an comical adventure about my favorite card based hobby, so i then decided on some new shots i would like to include and some new ideas for filming locations.
I also finally came up with a working title for my film
Quest For The Golden Cards:a Childrens Card Game Story.
It's genre will be an adventure comedy and will involve me on a quest to find the ultra-rare golden cards and save the world.
Original idea, Brocken. What generic features about comedy openings have you picked up from your initial research/survey. For example, those locations and Mr Bean movies?
ReplyDeletecomedy openings usually involve introducing the main story line of the film and also establishing the characthers, with mr.bean it's simply a case of him being introduced through a set of blunders on his part, the 1997 film had been working in an art museum and the directing staff of the museum plot to fire him, and in the 2007 mr.beans holiday it involves him in the church with his ticket, the research into comical films shows that the main protaganist, usually gets into some form of trouble like in The Hangover film series where the main protaganists have a night out and the morning after they can't remeber anything and are missing one of their friends.
ReplyDeletewhen i asked people about comical films they usually tell me one person is funnier than the rest of the cast.
