Doing the narration for my film was difficult because even though i had pre-made the script for it months ago i found it didn't really work for me, because i had no time to really set a mood for the opening, with the new script i partially improvised and took a little bit from the script i wrote i do think I've produced a very good attempt at some opening narration.
What i also found was the microphone i was using was very sensitive and was picking up sounds from around me, a issue i highlighted earlier and discussed in my blog.
To avert this particular issue i decided to go to a quiet room within the academy and then from that point i began to narrate, there was a problem during one of my narration attempts where i hadn't put the microphone on, which resulted in me almost talking to myself for two minutes when i discovered i hadn't switched on the microphone, this was dealt with quickly and i continued on my way narrating.
My final thoughts on the narration process are that it's quite testing at times when you haven't got the perfect conditions for setting up the microphone, also i found that really good attempts at doing narration are rare in a school as people are always talking, so unless you have a quiet room, it's going to provide some issues during the schooling day, what might be easier next time is simply doing it before or after school to save time on re-recording because of stupid noise being heard throughout the narration.
